The page that names the company behind a website, with legal name, address and contact details.
Also called: Impressum, imprint
In Switzerland, online shops and commercial websites must clearly state who they are and how to contact them. Most companies publish this on a page called «Impressum» or «Legal notice».
Good legal notices include the legal name, address, email, UID and, if applicable, the VAT number.
Why Legal notice matters in Switzerland
A complete legal notice is a trust signal for Swiss visitors and helps search engines and AI tools connect the website to the registered company.
Our tip
Link the legal notice in the footer of every page and keep it identical to the commercial register data.
