Separate pages for each city or region where a company has an office or serves customers.
Also called: city pages, local landing pages
A location page shows the address, team, services and directions for one place, and targets searches such as «IT services Basel». Done well, it is the landing page for that region's Google Business Profile.
Pages that only swap the town name are thin content and rarely rank.
Why Location pages matters in Switzerland
With 26 cantons and four languages, Swiss companies are tempted to produce hundreds of near-identical pages. Fewer, real pages for actual locations work better.
Our tip
Write a location page only where you really have customers or staff – and give each one its own content.
